Looking Out My Window

Looking out my living room window is always a treat no matter what the season or weather. This afternoon I was inspired to write a poem. I hope you enjoy it.

Looking out the Window

Out My Window

Out the window
My gaze is fixed
What do I see?

Rain is pouring
Wind is blowing
Rain now stopping

Fog is rising
An eerie mist
Between the trees

Birds are silent
Frogs make no sound
Dogs are sleeping

Rain returning
Wind almost still
I keep watching

Day is waning
Twilight glimmers
Night comes softly

Time to settle
Ponder my day
Give thanks to God
