Grace, a Gift from God Most High

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

[bctt tweet=”When we talk about God’s grace, what do we mean?” username=”GaylWright”] RhymeZone defines it as “the free and unmerited favor or beneficence of God.”  Blessing, honor, benefit, kindness and support are some of the synonyms..

Give Me Grace, Lord

Give me grace, Lord
Help me stand
I’m reaching up
To take Your hand

I see you, Child
You will stand
My grace is here
Now take My hand

Give me grace, Lord
Help me stand
I’m falling now
Can’t reach Your hand

I’m with you, Child
You must stand
I’ll give you strength
To clasp My Hand

Grace is sure, Lord
Yes, I’ll stand
Your grip is strong
You hold my hand.

Guide me through
The darkest night
Bring me home
To endless light

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)[bctt tweet=”My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9″ username=”GaylWright”]

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. (2 Peter 1:2-3)

Where do you see God’s hand in your life today?
