TEAM UP
The Five Minute Friday word for this week is team. Who is on your team? Do you have a network of friends or family you can call on at a moment’s notice? Are you that kind of friend for someone? With whom do you team up?
TEAM UP WITH TEAMWORK
As part of the body of Christ we do need to work as a team to demonstrate to the world what the truest kind of love is. There is a love God has for us, and then a love we have for one another. We need to work as a team to demonstrate to the world the truest kind of love.
This past week has been a very difficult one for one of my family members. We had a lot to do in a short time. Not only that, several people had to give input at short notice.
It has affected the lives of so many people, and many sacrificed time and effort to bring support and love.
TEAM UP IN TIMES OF DISTRESS
In times of distress it is such a blessing to see people rally round to bring so much to help.
Teamwork made things happen quickly that could have been drawn out. Needs were met in a beautiful, overwhelming way.
So many pitched in using their talents and gifts to benefit a family in need. My heart is full.
People working separately and together made a great team to encourage and support one of our own.
To top it off I’ve had the joy of spending extra time with some of my grandchildren. We have laughed hard. We have played games and enjoyed meals together.
I’ve gotten so many hugs and heard “I love you,” so many times. What a blessing it is to be a grandmother with such loving grandchildren.
I’m linking up with #FiveMinuteFriday, #FreshMarketFriday.#inspirememonday, #SittingAmongFriends
THIS: “As part of the body of Christ we do need to work as a team to demonstrate to the world what the truest kind of love is. There is a love God has for us, and then a love we have for one another.” Oh and so glad you’ve had precious time with your grandkids. I’m in the 8 spot this week.
Tara, always good to have you drop by! Thank you for your encouragement to me and to others.
Yes, the time with grandkids is really great.
Blessings to you and have a great weekend!
Beautiful thoughts on “team.” So glad so many came together and helped out in a time of need. Many blessings. Visiting from FMF 11
Thank you, Shannon. I haven’t been watching the Olympics so I didn’t really think about team in that way. But what I have seen these past couple of weeks has been such a blessing so I naturally went there for the “team” prompt.
Thanks for stopping by! Many blessings to you!
So glad that everyone came together in that time of need!
The most vital (in a couple of senses) team I’ve found is the Five Minute Friday community. The uplift from prayers I’ve received here are the reason I’m not dead yet, and I’m completely serious.
#2 at FMF this week.

Wow, Andrew, I’m so glad you’ve found such a vital team with Five Minute Friday! We’re all glad you are here. I’m glad I can be a part of it, too.
I know you are serious. The prayers of faithful friends make a difference that can be felt. May we all continue to uphold you and your wife in prayer.
Blessings to you and yours! May God grand strength and wisdom and health!
Beautifully written, and I love the graphics. I’m new at this and lucky if I can get two sentences and a picture done in five minutes!
Thank you so much, Candy! I have to admit that I didn’t get the photos done within the five minute limit. First I wrote the words and then I looked through my photos to find some to add. And if I’m honest, I probably took about 8 minutes to write it, and I did go back and change a couple of words. So I didn’t really “play by the rules” of only 5 min. and no editing.
So glad you have joined us! It’s really a good discipline to try to write in 5 minutes without editing. Sometimes I do play by the rules. 🙂
Many blessings to you!
I love how the fmf word of the week gave you an opportunity to give God glory for His work in your world, Gayl!
Yes, Dianne, me too! It’s actually the first thing I thought of when Kate put out the prompt! God is so good to us.
Many blessings to you!
Grandma-time is a blessing no matter what the circumstances. I’m so glad for you. Enjoy!
Oh, yes! I love spending time with my grandkids!
Thanks for stopping by, Shauna. Blessings to you!
You were met with teams of tangible help and teams of pray-ers. It just doesn’t get better than that. Praying for some peaceful, less anxious days for all of you. xo
You are so right, Susan! Thank you so much for your continued prayers. Love you! xo
Yes Gayl, team work makes life easier.
God bless
Thanks for visiting, Ifeoma! Many blessings to you.
It is wonderful when family and friends work together to help a loved one in need. Thanks for sharing. 😉
Wonderful, indeed! Thanks for stopping by, Mary. Many blessings to you!
Family is the best team ever! It sounds like you got an awesome team!
Hope you are well : )
Yes, Kristina, a really awesome team! Thanks so much for visiting!
I am well and things are not quite as hard but still need some time.
Many blessings to you!
Team is a great word to ponder. I’m grateful when I experience the support and help of a team of friends when I have experienced difficulty. When I have teamed with others it has been a blessing to work together.
It really is a blessing when people work together as a team, isn’t it?. Thank you for visiting, Ginger! Many blessings to you! I hope you have a great week.
What a privlidge to be able to teach teamwork to your grandchildren! Lessons from grandparents are more memorable (at least I remember my grandparents teaching me things that I’m sure my parents tried to teach me but the lessons didn’t stick until I heard them from the grands! 😉 ).
Anita, it has been so rewarding to spend this time with these grandchildren. I’m home now, but the two older girls are keeping in touch through hangouts and other social media. I didn’t spend a lot of time with my maternal grandparents bc we only saw them once or twice a year, but I really looked forward to those visits and spending time with them.
Thanks for stopping by and I’m sorry I’m so late in responding to your comment. Have a blessed weekend!
