Welcome to Day 1 of #write31days. My theme is 31 Days to a Healthier Lifestyle. Each day I’ll share a bit from some of the categories I mentioned in my introductory post. Walk is the prompt for the #FMF Write 31 Days, but that is something I did not do today except for the normal walking I do each day.
[bctt tweet=”I have heard that taking a walk is not only good exercise but also refreshes your mind.” username=”GaylWright”] In my experience I find that to be true. When the weather is comfortable I love to walk either around the property or in our neighborhood.
Just being out in nature is a balm to my spirit. Looking around at the sky and trees, hearing the birds and insects and finding beauty usually gives me inspiration for writing. It’s a great stress reliever.
Taking a walk with a friend or family member is even better unless you just need some alone time. If that is the case it’s a perfect time to pray or think deep thoughts. It’s great if you can work a walk into your daily schedule.
The photos are all from a recent walk on my property.
Exercise report for Day 1:
(My exercise routine was actually started a week early, but I’m reporting it here.)
I did my T-Tapp 15 minute workout at noon. Boy am I out of shape! It was hard and my legs are now sore. But I also have a good feeling about it. It’s one part of my plan to have a healthier body. I know if I am consistent it will get easier.
What about you? I’d love to know what things you like to do for exercise.
The Five Minute Friday book is still available and filled with words of encouragement.
When you purchase a copy, you’ll not only enjoy some good articles, but you will be helping two wonderful ministries.
I am blessed to be a part of this wonderful book!
