JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE
Life is like a journey. Sometimes the way is clear, the path smooth, and happiness abounds. Other times the way is dark, the path rough, uneven, and gloominess abounds. How do we find our way on this journey of life?

When there is no light to show us the way, it is easy to panic and wonder what to do. If the light shines brightly showing us each step clearly, it is easy to move along quickly.
This journey of life, whether the path is dark or clear, is not meant to travel on our own. Even when there is plenty of light we can burn out easily.
We need to remember that God is with us and be sensitive to his leading.
When the path is dark, it sometimes means we need to wait. Maybe we need to stop and rest before going on ahead. Our life journey will have many ups and downs. Sometimes we will feel alone. Other times we will have plenty of company.
\Wherever I am on my journey I want to be open to see the beauty around me.
I want to live well, to love well, and to be ready for whatever comes my way.
TAKE ONE STEP AT A TIME
By focusing on God and relying on him I can have peace no matter what my journey is like.
I can take one step at a time knowing that he is with me all along the way. I love this song by Downhere called “One Small Step.” It reminds us that God goes with us on our journey “…one small step, two at a time.”

I’m so glad we don’t Journey alone. I’m in the 8 spot this week.
Me, too, Tara! Many blessings to you dear sister! xo
Hi Gayl! It’s a joy to follow you this week at Crystal’s. Your words are timely for me, especially this: “I can take one step at a time knowing that he is with me all along the way.” Yes, one step at a time with God. I’m thankful we’re not on our own in this journey. And we have each other too! Blessings!
I need the reminder that He is with me each step of the way. I’m thankful, too, that God is with us and that we have such a great online sisterhood to encourage each other.
Blessings to you, Julie!
“Even when there is plenty of light we can burn out easily.”
LOVE your 5 minute take on ‘Journey,’ Gayl! This line especially stood out to me, because I can see the bright path shining before me, know I must walk it, yet at times I have felt the burn-out. Thank you for the reminder to keep following the Light and relying on Him to go the distance. Happy Weekend!
Thanks, Larri! I wasn’t sure if I’d have to time even write it, but found a few minutes late last night. 🙂 Glad the reminder to follow the Light was encouraging to you.
Many blessings to you! Can’t wait till we can meet in person. We’ll have to find a time soon. 🙂
Hi Gayl, your post is timely and a good reminder. Thinking about a time when I wanted to go on a journey and God did not give us the green light. What He had in store was so much better and we would have missed it if we hadn’t listened to him. Learning to be still and hear His voice and walk in His ways.
Thanks for visiting, Christina! I’m so glad God is patient with us as we continue to learn to be still and listen to Him.
Blessings to you!
Gayl, These are such good words, to remember that we are not journeying alone! And I loved the song, “One step, two at a time,” with such a beautiful thought! What a good way to start out the weekend. –Blessings!
Bettie, I’m so glad you enjoyed the song. I love most of their songs because not only is the music good, the words are, too.
So glad you were encouraged. Many blessings to you!
