Share What You Have and Be Blessed

Welcome to Day 18 of #write31days. The prompt for the Five Minute Friday Free Writes is the word share. So much could be written about that word.

Sharing is something I love to do, maybe even to a fault.

I freely give of what I have especially to help or encourage someone else.

God has blessed me with shelter, food, a loving family and many friends. The place I live has beautiful views and I love taking photographs. Often I share them on social media to help brighten someone’s day.

Share views

As you probably know, I love writing poetry and sharing it online. When others are inspired by my words, I am blessed and encouraged.

Today I sat in the rocking chair on the porch enjoying the cooler weather and sunshine.

Because it is a beautiful day I took some photos. They, in turn, inspired my haiku for today.

A Beautiful Day

Bright sun shines above

Clouds are few and sky is blue

A beautiful day

Breezes come and go

Chimes are singing happily

A beautiful day

Sweet red rose buds bloom

Their aroma fills the air

A beautiful day

Sharing is really not hard to do if we don’t focus on and hoard our possessions and talents.

When we share, it inspires others to do the same. I love it when my friends and I mutually encourage and inspire each other.

What a blessing!

  1. I’m your neighbor today at Holley’s :). If I had some rockers, I’d invite you over to my back porch–the weather has finally cooled a bit, and the trees have acknowledged that winter lurks around the corner.

      Blessings to you!

  2. Oh to be with you on that porch with you, listening to the chimes “singing happily”, smelling the roses, breathing in cool air to enliven the lungs, watching bright sunlight dancing through the trees, eyes drinking in the view while we sip at a hot drink (or two)! 4. The photos are lovely and do inspire, Gayl! A pastor at our church said at one of his homilies that “It is not what we have that make us rich, but how much we are able to give.” May the Lord continue to bless your generous heart. Peace and love to you. ❤️
