One of the best ways for me to find inspiration is to be outdoors. Right now I am sitting in a rocking chair on my front porch. There is a breeze making the chimes sing. The sky is full of clouds. There is no blue in sight, but it is still beautiful.

Being outside allows me to relax and enjoy nature. It helps take away stress.
There is always beauty to find. Afterward, I am refreshed and inspired to tackle the chores awaiting.
Creating Art to Inspire
Sometimes for inspiration, I look through magazines, cutting out words and pictures that speak to me. As I arrange them on a page I’m not quite sure how they will turn out.
The work of creating the art page often inspires me as I go along.
Inspiration from God and Family
Often I find inspiration in my Bible. Reading psalms of praise lifts my spirit, and I want to join in with my own praise. I am thankful for the life God has given me, even with its struggles.
Psalm 150 (CSB)
Hallelujah!
Praise God in his sanctuary.
Praise him in his mighty expanse.
Praise him for his powerful acts;
praise him for his abundant greatness.
Praise him with trumpet blast;
praise him with harp and lyre.
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and flute.
Praise him with resounding cymbals;
praise him with clashing cymbals.
Let everything that breathes praise the Lord.
Hallelujah!
I believe some of my best inspiration comes from being at home with family and friends enjoying things together.

Inspiration Goes Both Ways
Reading the words of others, seeing their artwork and enthusiasm inspires me. Then I, in turn, try to inspire others with my own creations. We are made for community.
As we share our words and talents with each other, we are all blessed and encouraged.
This is Day 9 of Five Minute Friday 31 Days of Free Writes, and the prompt word is inspire.

Beautiful cloudy sky! Today, we have had rain, then, sunshine. Lots of wind as we prepare for Hurricane Michael.
Thanks for visiting, Melissa! I pray you are safe as the hurricane approaches. I think we are outside the predicted cone, but I’m sure we will get some rain and wind from it. Blessings to you!
I love to see the process of how God brings inspiration to you, Gayl! Thank you so much for sharing your heart, and helping to inspire and encourage me! xoxo

Gayl, I enjoyed reading about those things that inspire you. I never thought about family and home being an inspiration, but indeed they are!
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Karen, I’m glad you enjoyed reading it. Yes, family can be a great inspiration, can’t they? Blessings to you!
Psalm 150 always makes me think of a song we used to sing when I worked at Bible camp.
Psalm 150 is such an uplifting one. Blessings to you, Tara! xo
I’m breathing so I’m praising!
Yes you are! Praise our God! Love and blessings to you, Susan! xo
