WHO AM I?
I could say I am a woman, wife, mother, writer, poet, musician, artist and that would all be true. But who am I at my core? For starters, I was created by God as I grew in my mother’s womb.
For it was you who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I will praise you because I have been remarkably and wondrously made.
Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well.
WHO CREATED ME?
Growing and being formed by God is proof that our bodies are remarkable and wondrous. There is nothing else in creation that compares to a human being.
On top of that, He has given me love and joy and a desire to create.

Imagination is another part of who I am as a human being.
By keeping my eyes open I can observe and learn from nature and people. Knowing God has given me new direction as I develop my talents and gifts. Nature, music and writing are all a part of me.
GOD GIVES TALENTS TO US
God created each of us with talents. We may not think they are as good as what someone else does, but they are our unique talents. He accepts our offerings no matter how small. Everyone can’t be a Michelangelo but we can share what we have.
Use what talents you possess. The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there but those that sang best. ~ Henry Van Dyke
Ephesians 2:10 (CSB)
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.
Who has God created you to be? What has He given you to share? If you aren’t sure you can ask Him to show you.
What things are you drawn to? I would love for you to share in the comments.

I love that you know who you are at your very core–once we have that figured out, life sure gets a lot easier!
Yes, Anita, it’s taken me awhile to know who I am in Christ and be confident in Him so that I can move out and share my life. Blessings to you!
Enjoyed your “Who”. I also like your collages.
Thanks so much, Elizabeth. Blessings to you!
Love your post and your art journaling samples. I especially appreciate the quote: “Use what talents you possess. The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there but those that sang best. ~ Henry Van Dyke”. I’m going to write that one down. It really resonated with me because I don’t think I’m particularly gifted in any special way, but I love creativity, be it in writing, card making, or knitting. Thanks for the encouragement to be who we are,and thanks for stopping by my blog 🙂
Thank you! I love that quote, too. It’s really encouraging to us to use what we have no matter how small we think it is. It sounds like you have a love for creativity in writing, card making, knitting – there are some of your talents! 🙂 Thanks for visiting. Blessings to you!
I want to be an encourager. I want to use the gifts God has given me to encourage others. Thank you for this reminder Gayle
We all need the reminder sometimes, don’t we? I’m so glad you are an encourager, too. We need more encouragers in this world. Blessings to you, Liz!

Love the van Dyke quote. Sometimes we worry too much that we aren’t the best.
Yes, Mandy, and when we worry about that we let fear cause us to hold back. But God only wants our best, not what someone else can do. Blessings to you!
Gayl, I loved reading your post and seeing all the creative things you do. That resonates with me so thanks for sharing. All the best in your endeavors.

Our imagination is such an amazing blessing, and I wonder if we ever tap into it as intended. Nice to see you are making time to nurture your gift!
I tend to think we don’t tap into our imaginations as much as we could, but we can sure keep trying! 🙂 Thank you, Crystal, for your encouraging comment. Blessings to you!
