QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Question & Answer are the prompts for Ronovan’s Weekly Haiku Poetry. It’s been quite awhile since I participated, so I thought I’d try today. We always have questions and are always looking for answers.
As I thought about the words, I wrote some of the first things that came to mind and gradually went deeper.
I sent this first one to my daughter, and she said it sounded like something a mom would say. That is probably true, but I like to think the second one as also appropriate for a mom.
Ask me a question
I’ll give you an answer but
You might not like it
When you question me
If I don’t know the answer
We’ll search together

WHEN ANSWERS BRING MORE QUESTIONS
Often in life we find the more we search, the more we realize how much we don’t know. That causes more uncertainty and we almost feel like we’re back where we started. We might get frustrated and want to give up.
That’s when we need others to come alongside and encourage us to keep on searching.
Always ask questions
When you do not understand
Look for the answers
Sometimes queries seem
To only bring more questions
Will I find answers
Keep asking dear one
When answers are illusive
One day you may know
~gsw~
KEEP TRUSTING GOD
Even if we never find the answers to all our questions, we can be confident that God knows. He will give grace and peace as we put our trust in Him.
Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
There is one who knows
Answers to all the questions
Down through the ages
When questions are hard
No matter what the answer
I need never fear
If no answer comes
To my repeated questions
I still trust my God

Sometimes I lose sight of the fact that even if my questions are not answered, it is still well with my soul. Thank you for this encouragement.
Thank you for visiting, Jolene! Yes, even when we don’t have the answers, even when we can’t see our way clear, we can still trust God an be at peace in our souls. Blessings to you!
Isaiah 26.3 — My mom’s life verse. One of my faves too.
Yes, it’s also one of my favorites – a good reminder that if we put our trust in Him He will bring peace to our hearts. Blessings to you, Susan! xoxo
Thank you for encouraging my heart today, Gayl! I love the photos and Scriptures that you shared with your poems. What a blessing to remember that Jesus calls us to enter into HIS peace. Even when the questions swirl around us, we can sit with Him (like your photo of the beautiful forest bench) and wait on His answers. Blessings, love, and hugs to you Dear poet/sister/friend!
Oh, Bettie, I’m so glad you have encouraged you today. Yes, He will give us peace even when we don’t understand our circumstances or have the answers. I love how the photo helped you picture sitting with Jesus. He has promised to be with us all the time. Blessings love and hugs to you, my dear sister/poet/friend! xoxo
Lovely post & Haikus Gayl… Sometimes we just have to wait for the answer to be revealed don’t we… 😉
Blessings,
Jennifer
Thank you so much, Jennifer. Yes, sometimes we just have to wait. Thanks for visiting. Blessings to you!
Beautiful, Gayl! I love that we can ask God anything. He doesn’t tire of us nor does he fail to answer (but his answers don’t always fit our expectations).
Thank you, Anita. Yes, He never tires and always knows what is best even when we might question it. His timing is perfect. Blessings to you! xo
Love your thoughts on questions and answers. Especially love
When you question me

Thank you so much, Amy. Yes, it’s a great verse to remember from Isaiah. Blessings to you!
Gayl: You have expressed beautiful thoughts in your poetry. Isaiah 41:10 was a mainstay scripture for me several years ago when I went through a very rough time. Peace and blessings to you and yours.
Thank you so much, Cecelia. I love how the scriptures can be a comfort to us in good times and hard times. Blessings to you!
I love these beautiful, simple haikus! I never knew you were a poet, Gail! I love the last line – always trust God!
Thank you so much, Laurie! Yes, we can trust God no matter what, because He loves and cares for us. Blessings to you !
