Reach is the word for Day 23 of #write28days. My thoughts always seem to turn to God. Maybe I am becoming more intentional to remember His presence with me, as I am learning in The Presence Project. I think of how loving and faithful He is.
The Psalms tell us about the far-reaching love and faithfulness of God. These three verses are almost word for word with slight variations:
Psalm 36:5 (CSB)
Lord, your faithful love reaches to heaven,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
Psalm 57:10 (CSB)
For your faithful love is as high as the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches the clouds.
Psalm 108:4 (CSB)
For your faithful love is higher than the heavens,
and your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

God’s Love and Faithfulness Reach Far
My Bible reading this morning shows how far-reaching God’s love and faithfulness are to our families.
Psalm 103:17-18(CSB)
But from eternity to eternity
the Lord’s faithful love is toward those who fear him,
and his righteousness toward the grandchildren
of those who keep his covenant,
who remember to observe his precepts.
We Must Be Faithful
[bctt tweet=”Of course, as you read, there seems to be a condition for us. We must also be faithful.” username=”GaylWright”]
But God doesn’t leave us on our own. In this next passage, Paul is talking to the believers in Philippi, but I believe his message is also true for us.
Philippians 2:12-16a (NLT)
Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Hold firmly to the word of life;
Our Love Can Also Reach Far
God is working within us to enable us to be true to Him and to follow His instructions. When we rely on His strength and love we can go far to bring God’s love to the world.
Certainly, there is no way to tell how far our words, art and actions can go. We may reach one person and they may reach others and so on down through the years. In fact, any act of kindness, no matter how small, can make a difference in someone’s life.

Such a good post for reach, he really does have far reaching and eternal love. Great collage.
Yes, He does, and I’m so thankful. Thank you for your comments, Rebecca. Glad you like the collage. Blessings to you!
Dear Gayl,
Your words were just what I needed to hear tonight. In this place where I feel the weight of my own complaining some days, there comes such a heavy burden to my heart for those who have never found the joy that Jesus brings–those who know no other way except to complain, or to be silent. OH but what beauty there is in the reach of Jesus! One by one by one He calls us to share His love, reaching each one of our hurting hearts with Himself. Thank you so much for sharing today. Your words are such a blessing! xoxo
Dear Bettie,
I’m so glad to have encouraged you tonight. I’m thankful God uses us to encourage each other so much. Yes, so much beauty in the reach of our Lord. He comforts us and then we can reach out and comfort and encourage others. What a blessing! Much love to you with many blessings, dear sister/poet/friend! xoxo
Gayl, we seem to think along similar lines as my post is about the far reaching love of the Father. Love the Scriptures here and the pictures which further illustrate them. When I look up to see the clouds today, I will remember how far my Father’s love reaches. Thank you.
Dear Hulda, thanks for your encouraging words. Yes, His love cannot be measured. Blessings to you!
When I read your message, I instantly thought of how I reach for God. I reach for Him when I am sad, angry, depressed, etc. But, I also reach for Him to thank Him for blessings like another beautiful, glorious day and my family and birds singing and so much more. Reach for Him….. yes 🙂
Yes, we do reach for Him all throughout the day, don’t we? I’m so thankful He is always there, never out of reach, even if we don’t see Him. Blessings to you, Melissa!
