Beyond Your Wildest Imagination You Need Hope

What comes to mind when you think of the word beyond? I think of things like farther than I’ve ever been, past the clouds, the stars and the universe, an unfilled dream….. What is beyond your wildest imagination?

It’s fun to dream isn’t it? This year has been filled with so much angst, so many unexpected and unwelcome happenings. We need something fun to help lift our spirits. During this holiday time that to some doesn’t seem much like a holiday time, we need to think beyond our wildest imagination to find creative ways to celebrate.

beyond your wildest imagination

Actually, the best thing I know to celebrate is that Jesus came into the world those many years ago. We don’t need a large group to get together to think of all the wonderful things His coming provided for us. This world is not our final home. There are heartaches, losses, sickness, and so much evil.

No one likes to suffer, yet it is those times that can draw us closer to our Lord and Savior. We who know the Lord have a hope that is sure. It’s not some made up idea to pacify. No, it is reality. I for one know a peace that I could not give myself. And I find joy in helping others and helping to meet needs.

A PLACE BEYOND YOUR WILDEST DREAMS

There is a place beyond our wildest dreams and one day all of God’s children will be in that place. For now, some have gone before us, but one day we will all be together again. It won’t be the same as we know here, but it will be beyond our wildest dreams.

But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

I Corinthians 2:9 NKJV

Enjoy this song by Fernando Ortega who sings about the place Beyond the Sky:

  4. Something beyond my wildest dreams
    (and no, it isn’t Vegas),
    something appears when it seems
that nothing left can save us,
    something written on the heart
    and branded on the soul,
a promise not to be apart
    until we are made whole,
no matter what the painful cost
    that He alone must pay
for He will see not one sheep lost
    upon this Judgement Day,
and there is no Second Flood
for we are ransomed by His Blood.

  5. Your message here is so hope-filled, Gayl. And I love that song. Both evoke that deep yearning to be with Jesus eternally. I so long for that day.
