Community and safety seem to go hand in hand. God cares for His people and has made us for community. As we work together, sharing His love, using our words and talents to encourage one another, we are part of a bigger story – God’s story of love and redemption.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming with all the trials and struggles, and any number of issues can cause it. Often, we forget to take our burdens to God, or we might wonder if it will really do any good. I’m here to tell you that there is healing for a broken spirit with examples from the Bible and my own life.
We have the confidence that nothing can separate us from the love of God. If you ask me, it is a wonderful and marvelous fact!
One way to abide in Christ is to read and meditate on scripture. Because it is the word of God, my mind is enlightened and transformed by it. As I read, meditate and pray I am following the light of the world, Jesus, and learning to abide in Him.
This new year has barely begun, bringing new opportunities and new lessons to learn. I want to learn to abide in love and savor the moments.
