God Never Changes: His Love is Eternal

GOD NEVER CHANGES

For Days 20-21 of #write28days, the word prompts are: changes and adore. We, as people, often change our minds about many things, but God never changes. He is always the same, and His purposes stand. Our triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – the Creator and Sustainer of the world and everything in it, reigns over all. God is love. He is holy, just, and worthy of praise and adoration.

Not all people acknowledge God, some deny His existence. Others don’t believe that Jesus is truly God and truly man. Yet, whether or not people believe doesn’t change the fact that He is real. The Bible tells us all we need to know about God. Because He never changes, people in all generations, regardless of different cultures, can trust Him to be faithful.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

 Hebrews 13:8

He’s a God who keeps promises. An important one is that He took on flesh in the Person of Jesus Christ. He (God the Son) lived a sinless life. Then He died and rose triumphantly, conquering death and sin as He took our punishment.

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21

One day every knee will bow before Him:

…God highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow—in heaven and on earth and under the earth—and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Philippians 2:9-11

GOD’S LOVE IS ETERNAL

Just as God was faithful to Abraham, Moses, David and others we read about in the Bible, He will be faithful to keep us. In fact, nothing can separate us from His great love.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39

When we think about this great love of God for us, demonstrated by His sacrifice, how can we not adore Him? If He loved us enough to die for us, then it’s not asking too much for us to love and adore Him. When we realize how much we have been forgiven, we can show that same love and forgiveness to others.

Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive.

Colossians 3:12-13

COME LET US ADORE HIM

As we yield ourselves to Him, we have freedom to grow and blossom into the people He purposed us to be. We know that He will give us the strength, wisdom and ability to do whatever He has called us to do. So, join me along with King David. Let’s offer our praise and adoration to our great God, with thanksgiving, knowing that He never changes.

Then David blessed the Lord in the sight of all the assembly. David said,
“O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may you be praised forever and ever! Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things.Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.
